Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center is looking for vendors for our 11th annual RedHot Art Market! This event is an important way that CAFAC builds our scholarship fund for those that need it most. Our scholarship program has never been more popular. Last year we were able to award over $23,000 worth of scholarships!!
This year the RedHot Art Market will take place on Saturday, November 28th, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a special Fueler Preview from 10 to 11 a.m. We are asking all our neighbors at 38th and Chicago to join us in livening up the block for a very RedHot Small Business Saturday. We have room for 30-40 vendors, and any type of work is accepted.
Additionally, we are looking to have each of the chosen artists/makers leave behind some pieces for us to transform the gallery into a RedHot Gift Shop until the end of December. That means you'll have the opportunity to sell work beyond the market date!
The application deadline is Friday, September 7th. Priority is given to makers from underrepresented communities.
Some key details:
No booth fee
All transactions are carried out by CAFAC
70% of each sale goes to the artist and 30% is contributed to our scholarship fund, after credit card fees are subtracted.
Artists are asked to stay the entire day, but are welcome to have a friend familiar with their work sit in for them.
If you are willing, we would love for you to leave behind a handful of items so that we can transform our gallery space into a RedHot Gift Shop. We'll curate your pieces and have extended shopping hours from December 1st-24th.

It is our intention for the day to be filled with lots of good energy and creative joy. RedHot Art Market is designed to allow artists & makers to help each other learn and flourish as a community. Hopefully, you'll make new connections and have fun doing it!
