CAFAC has always been a volunteer-driven and community-led organization. We’ve seen unprecedented growth over the past 12 months in enrollment, scholarship disbursements, and our physical space. Join the community and support Twin Cities fire artists through Fuelership or a one-time donation!
Here are some highlights from 2023:
In the first six months of 2023, we’ve given away over $10,000 in scholarships—nearly as much as the entire year of 2022. Over half of that funding has gone to BIPOC learners. CAFAC scholarships don’t require proof of income, which can often be a barrier to access.
In three quarters in 2023, we’ve had almost 700 students enroll in our public classes—more than we had in all four quarters last year. On top of that, our engagement with MSS in arts learning, JXTA in public art, and visiting artists who teach master classes are continuing to grow!
Almost a year after the groundbreaking, we’ve constructed the new home for our foundry program, complete with Cor-ten paneling on the outside, and have just started the process of renovating our rundown parking lot into a beautiful, functional Parking Yard with stormwater management features.
We're deeply grateful for the many learners whose class fees sustain a large part of our operations, but they don't cover all of our costs. Fuelerships provide CAFAC with a regular contributed income source, especially if you sign up for a monthly contribution!
