What ignites you? What transformation has your fire sparked?
This exhibit, which explores the many meanings and manifestations of “firing,” will be closing with a group artist talk on Wednesday, September 17th, 5-6pm. ASL Interpreters will be provided. Open (Hot)House to follow from 6:30-9pm. Whether through the literal process—ceramics, welding, blacksmithing, metal casting, any artwork made with heat, spark or flame—or the metaphorical fire that fuels action, change, or resilience, this show features work that burns with purpose.
These pieces by 15 local artists speak to the heat of transformation: How something is made, unmade, or reborn through fire—internal or external. This takes the form of personal reckoning, political stances, creative awakenings, and reactions/reflections to the world around us. This will be your chance to see this exhibit one last time, speak with the artists who created the work, and talk to the curators.
What keeps your fire burning?
Stay for the Open (Hot)House to follow from 6:30-9pm.
