Join us on Thursday, September 24th from 5-7pm for a closing reception for our current exhibit, a cage so light [you hardly feel it], a solo exhibit by Samael Leopold-Sullivan. ASL Interpreters will be provided for this event.
This collection of work explores themes of watching yourself being watched, how our behavior changes when we know we are being observed, and how easily our private lives can be recorded and documented. This non-tangible pressure literally changes our physical shapes, choices, lives, and thoughts. This work also explores how our bodies contain our "selves": our emotions, thoughts, dreams, and experiences, and how that containment experience varies.
