Our SPARC (Studio Pass at Reduced Cost) program is geared towards students that have intermediate to advanced skills in a particular program area. They may have taken a series of classes, including Reheater classes, or they may be experienced artists/craftspeople who have been working on their own. SPARC provides access to the shop and the equipment and tools for a specific program area, on particular days and times over the course of a quarter, for a reasonable cost. SPARC-ers have to demonstrate their ability to work safely and competently in their chosen program area by completing a test-out process with a program instructor or the Artistic Director. Supervision is provided during SPARC hours, but SPARC-ers will work completely independently on personal projects.
