RedHot Call for Vendors

  • Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center 3749 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN, 55407 (map)

The Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center is looking for vendors for our 7th RedHot Art Market. The RedHot Art Market is an important way that CAFAC builds its scholarship fund for those that need it and right now that is more important than ever.

When we started this market it was as a way for CAFAC’s studio artists, volunteers and their families to spend time with each other during the busy holiday season while also getting that scholarship back into shape. Eventually we decided to invite a wider range of artists & makers to cultivate and expand our community. This market is a way for artists & makers to help other artists & makers learn and flourish as a community. We do not charge a booth fee. At the RedHot Art Market, CAFAC does all of the transactions, leaving you able to connect with other artists/makers and art/maker lovers. 30% of each sale goes towards our Scholarship Fund and 70% of your sales goes to you. You will be given a code that is specific to only you, so we can keep track of sales.

This year the RedHot Art Market will take place Saturday December 17th from 11am-5pm. We will be keeping an eye on the current state of the pandemic to make this as safe as we possibly can. I will be hoping to have up to 30 vendors this year, but that may change due to COVID. Masks are encouraged, hand sanitizer will be readily available.

Artists and makers of any kind are encouraged to apply with a priority going to all underrepresented artists/makers.

About Us:

CAFAC is a non-profit arts organization that fills a unique niche in arts programming for the Twin Cities region. Its focus is on fine and industrial art forms that are produced using heat, spark, or flame—collectively known as "fire arts"—including sculptural welding, blacksmithing, metal casting, jewelry making, flamework, neon, and more. CAFAC provides classes to anyone with an interest, from youth to adult and beginner to master-level artisans. We also offer studio access programs to working and emerging artists and feature a storefront gallery space.

CAFAC’s gallery space operates on a regenerative model by putting proceeds into student scholarship support. Our commission split is 70% artist / 30% scholarship.

The gallery space is used as a way for the community to connect with each other through art. It is a space for emerging artists to find support and growth and for established artists to launch solo exhibitions in an encouraging, community driven space. Join us in our efforts.

Thank You!!
